Meet Our Dogs

INCA:

Inca is retired these days, but she hasn’t forgotten her life as my working dog. She’s always ready to go. She loves to stay busy and have new adventures, whether it’s a trip or just lunch downtown. Inca is my self-appointed canine caretaker. I call her my clock. She sees it as her life’s duty to supervise me and make sure I’m sticking to my schedule. If I’m working too much and need to take a break, she knows somehow, and she’s always the one to tell me. She’s mischievous, has a quirky sense of humor, and enjoys playing tricks. True to her breed, she loves to run, and she loves to work. We’ve done a lot of really incredible things together. In fact, Inca is the first of her breed to earn several titles, including Temperament Tested, Basic Herding Instinct, and UKC Rally Obedience. Inca has an other-worldly air about her, so I call her my Fairy Princess Dragon.

Hobbies: traveling, going downtown, kayaking, obsessing about cats, and taking long walks (very, very, VERY long walks).

MILLIE:

Millie is a joy. She loves toys and loves to play; she loves to go; she loves to learn. Overall, she’s an enthusiastic and cheerful little lady who meets life head-on. She amazes me with her enthusiasm to seize the day. There’s almost nothing she won’t do. One of her particularly unique skills is climbing trees…yes, she actually goes up trees (usually after squirrels or a bird she’s wanting to hunt). She’s not intimidated by much. She’s smart and eager and a blast to have around. She’s my constant companion because she always wants to go and she doesn’t care what we’re doing. She is also a fierce little protector. She has the heart of a lion in a tiny, snuggle-able package.

Hobbies: swimming and kayaking, playing tug, getting belly rubs, doing anything fun and active, chasing squirrels.

Chai’s name fits her perfectly. She’s both spicy and sweet, and full of mischief. She can always be counted on for a laugh with her sassy personality, sharp intelligence, and creative problem-finding. She’s persistent and energetic, and is a ton of fun. We call her the “Pirate Poodle” because not only does she have a bandit mask, she also loves to steal things and hoard treasure. Chai is a good worker who loves to learn and train, and her favorite sport is FastCAT – in 2025, in was ranked #16 nationally! I can’t wait to see where she goes next!

Hobbies: kayaking and paddle boarding, swimming, playing box puzzles and shredding games, chasing her ball, hiding her ball, finding her ball…and running very, very fast.
